Welcome to BRIDGES

Building Resources for InterDisciplinary training in Genomic and Ecosystem Sciences (BRIDGES) is an NSF-funded training program that supports outstanding graduate students (MS, PhD) who bring diverse perspectives in pursuing graduate degrees in ecosystem genomics. BRIDGES trainees pursue their degrees in a program enriched by professional training, research experiences, a certificate and minor, and mentorship opportunities. Fellowships available.

Why Ecosystem Genomics?

The BRIDGES program was developed from the Ecosystem Genomics Initiative (EGI) which seeks to understand how processes encoded for in genes scale to the ecosystem scale. By scaling from the gene to ecosystem scale we can understand how wild and agricultural systems function and respond to change.
